As a childminder I work under the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework.
The EYFS is a single framework to support children's development and learning. Childminders, Nurseries and the Reception Class in Primary Schools all work under the EYFS framework. They come
under 7 areas of learning and development.
Prime areas of learning
Communication and language
Physical Development
Personal, social and emotional development
Specific areas of learning
Literacy
Mathematics
Understanding the world
Expressive arts and design
I offer activities to develop your child's learning and development, under the EYFS framework this is recordered in a individual learning journey book which is for your child to keep once they leave my childcare setting.
I try to provide a happy and stimulating environment for all the children in my care.
Activites on offer include music and dancing, baking, messy play, water play in the garden, drawing, playdough, arts and crafts, reading books, puzzles and building. We have a playroom
with a large selection of toys and a well stocked garden with playhouse and mini kitchen, sandpit and ride on cars etc.
We often go out to local toddler groups parks and the library.
